"40 years after six students from the prestigious university of Tübingen were latecomers to the German new wave (...), it is once again the turn for Familie Hesselbach, who have always been called "The German Talking Heads", something we could agree with, if we add to their sound the rhythm schemes of A Certain Ratio, the groovy bass of Bush Tetras, the skronky disco-esque of James White, and turns Byrne's voice to a more spastic and cons ice one. Berlin´s play loud! label reissued in vinyl this early 80s German new wave gem, and if you think of all the bands we've named, you know this is going to blow your mind!" (Tremendo Garage about the first LP "1982").

After re-releasing "1982" (first LP) and the double LP "Froh zu sein & 8-EP-Sampler", play loud! now completes the Familie Hesselbach catalog (1980-1985) with the third vinyl LP "Sueddeutschland & Der Untergang des Hauses H." Enjoy!

Aller guten Vinyl-Dinge sind drei: Nach der Wiederauflage der ersten LP der „Familie Hesselbach“, einer Punk & New Wave Band aus Tübingen (1980 bis 1985), sowie der Doppel-LP mit Songs der Musikkassette (Froh zu sein) von 1982 und einem 8-EP-Sampler hat sich das Berliner Musiklabel play loud! productions entschlossen, ein drittes Vinyl-Album der „Familie Hesselbach“ auf den Markt zu bringen. Die LP „Süddeutschland & Der Untergang des Hauses H.“ beinhaltet insgesamt elf Songs. Vier davon stammen von der EP „Süddeutschland“ (1984) sowie einer extra eingespielten Version des Titelsongs vom damaligen „lautt-Sampler“ (1983), die anderen sechs Lieder erschienen 1985 unter dem Titel „Der Untergang des Hauses H.“ als Studioproduktion auf Kassette, die das vorläufige Ende der süddeutschen Kultformation einläutete. Liebhaber der Band haben jetzt die Gelegenheit, ab dem 10. Mai bei der limitierten Auflage der neuen "roten" LP zuzugreifen. First come – first served!

Die Familie Hesselbach plant vereinzelte Konzerte in 2024 und 2025, das erste davon findet am 4.4.2024 im Kultur-Schlachthof in Düsseldorf statt.

I first heard John Peel play XMAL back in '83 in the UK and I saw them live in Madrid in 1984, - have been a fan ever since. I never expected to have them on my BC ap, and so glad they're here. Hopefully the albums will appear here too - if the later record labels allow. zaclang
